WASHINGTON – ITI, the global voice of the tech sector, announced today it hired Sam Rizzo to join its global policy team as director of policy focusing on trade issues.
“We are excited to welcome Sam to the team as we look to shape new trade agreements and other trade policies around the globe,” said Josh Kallmer, executive vice president of policy. “Sam’s expertise and experience in trade policy will deepen our bench and provide great value in an area that is a top priority for our members.”
Rizzo joins ITI from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), where he led U.S. government development of negotiating and engagement strategies to advance U.S. trade interests in the European Union. While at USTR, he served on USTR’s coordination team for the negotiation of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) with the European Commission.
Sam has a Master of Arts in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies from the College of William and Mary.
